Newborns Traumatized at Olive View Hospital's NICU
May 28, 2011

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
New Mom hears staff labeling her newborn son a drug baby.
SUN VALLEY – The policies in place at Olive View Hospital's Natal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) are unacceptable and must be quite shocking to new parents if the mother informs the hospital she is enrolled in a methadone maintenance program. April Hamilton was singled out by hospital staffers as an annoyance for asking too many questions about her baby's extended stay. Gavin Hamilton arrived on February 01, 2011 and was receiving questionable medication that had consisted of phenobarbital, fentanyl, a drug that is 100 times more potent than morphine, (sometimes two at once) and finally methadone after two months of what can only be described as experimentation with the other drugs. Gavin was finally released from Olive View with a prescription for clonidine after spending over three months in the NICU. The hospital claimed they were supposedly “detoxing” the baby, but Hamilton says nurses said her baby was going to be there a long time before she even gave birth. Staffers constantly referred to her son as a sick baby or a drug baby and treated her as if she was a full blown drug addict that had come in off the streets.
Hamilton had been clean from street drugs for the last year and had done plenty of research regarding methadone since she had planned on having a baby. “All the research I have done says that babies only need a couple of weeks to detox and then their mothers are allowed to bring them home,” said Hamilton, “I cannot help but wonder if they are actually making things worse for him, they didn't even test him to see if he had any methadone in his system first, and according to some doctors he might not of needed to detox at all. I only take 25 mg and sometimes only every other day.”
Hamilton says her troubles really began when her own mother called the hospital to ask about a release date and nurses filled her with lies saying her daughter did heroin during her pregnancy. This not only broke hospital patient confidentiality, it also broke her mothers heart. Hamilton had lost all confidence in the hospital and finally had her specialist call the doctors directly and try to explain that the only dose that newborns should be on of methadone is one that is constantly decreased.
Hamilton believes the hospital doctors disliked having Doctor Stillion, a methadone specialist that has 20 years of experience with the drug, confront them about hospital policies. After that call, Sharon Hess, the hospital social worker, immediately called Child Protective Services (CPS) on Hamilton and told them she was a drug user had created an unsafe atmosphere for her child.
Honestly, when you realize that this call was made as a vicious attack meant to use CPS as a tool to shut down a mother who practically lived at the hospital while they had her baby, it is enough to outrage the best of us.
Hamilton said she had to even approve an emergency blood transfusion because the nurses had drawn too much blood from Gavin and when she arrived nurses had left a needle sticking out of his little forehead along with blood droppings in his hair and on the pillowcase. “I almost fainted and immediately began crying. I did not have any power over my own baby's care”, said Hamilton. The policies in place at this hospital are wrong for baby's, but anyone who tries to speak up to them is immediately shut down with CPS caseworkers and court-dates to get rid of them once and for all. The social worker who called CPS had written a report just prior to making that call saying how great Hamilton and her boyfriend, Joey Giancaspro, had been about visiting everyday and calling if they could not make it. Sue, head nurse of the NICU, admitted that Hamilton asked more questions than anybody else ever did about their baby and that she normally did not speak to new parents everyday. She went on to say that most parents did not even speak English, so she did not talk to them at all.

SPACE PRESERVATION ACT HR2977 -KUCINICH
THIS BILL IS THE ONLY LEGISLATION THAT DEALS WITH THE HAARP WEAPONIZATION OF SPACE PROGRAM AND CHEMTRAILS THAT ARE IN OUR SKIES DAILY AND YET, STILL BEING DENIED FROM EVERY MEMBER ASKED DIRECTLY ABOUT THE PROGRAM.
I WANT TO MAKE A SIDE NOTE, DENNIS KUCINICH ACTUALLY WITHDREW THIS LEGISLATION AFTER PROMISING HE WOULD DEFEND IT BEFORE BEING TRUSTED AND ELECTED BY THE PEOPLE TO ENSURE IT WOULD BE TAKEN SERIOUSLY AND ACTUALLY BAN THE WEAPONS PROGRAMS FROM BEING USED, WHICH HAS OBVIOUSLY NOT BEEN THE CASE.
KUCINICH ACTUALLY MADE SURE THAT IT COULD NOT BE DEALT WITH FOR THE NEXT DECADE AND HAS REALLY DISAPPOINTED MANY OF US WHO HAVE ALWAYS TRUSTED HE WOULD TAKE THE PEOPLES SIDE FOR THIS VERY IMPORTANT ISSUE.
FOR MORE INFO AND THE ONLY LEGISLATION THAT DISCUSSES THE HAARP AND CHEMTRAIL DEBATE IN A DETAILED EXPLANATION OF WHAT THESE PROGRAMS CAN DO AND CURRENTLY HAVE A LOT OF EVIDENCE THAT THEY ARE FULLY DEPLOYED I URGE YPOU TO WATCH THE INTERVIEW ON EXOPOLITICS.TV WITH ALFRED WEBRE AND LAUREN MORET ON MAY 07, 2011 ON GOOGLE VIDEO AND LISTEN TO THE RADIO INTERVIEW THAT EXPLAINS THAT SHE HAS INVESTIGATED AND FOUND EVIDENCE THAT HAARP DEFINITELY IS TO BLAME FOR THE JAPAN NUCLEAR DISASTER, 911, HAITES EARTHQUAKE AND MUCH MORE.
THE LINK ABOVE TAKES YOU TO A DIRECT LINK TO THE BILL HR2977 THAT KUCINICH INTRODUCED IN 2001 IN THE 107TH CONGRESS. HE HAD PROMISED HE WOULD SUPPORT THIS BILL VIGOROUSLY AND THEN WITHDREW THE LEGISLATION WITHOUT WARNING ONCE PLACED IN OFFICE.

America Stand Up to These Rich Hypocritical Senators
Dear Senator,
I cannot believe the hypocritical rhetoric that has been coming from the Republican senators and their party since Obama won the presidency. They say they care about the deficit, and then demand that the top two percent of Americans, mostly elite billionaires, continue to get huge tax breaks that none of them need and some of them do not want. It seems to me senators really just want these tax cuts for themselves. Rich republicans are trying to fool the public into believing they are a party that cares about small businesses, but it has become painfully clear now that they don't. If any republicans really cared about small businesses they would have voted for the Small Business Jobs and Credit Act of 2010 in September,
However, none of them did.
Republicans have shown where their loyalties lie, and that it is not with the poor people in this country. Actually, it is not even with the middle class like it used to be. The morals they once stood for have been sold to the highest bidder at bargain prices and then policies that serve the rich are becoming legislation. I cannot believe the injustice that is taking place in the senate. I mean, 9/11 first responders healthcare came up for a vote and failed. What does that say about where our country is headed? I am a struggling student that would actually benefit from the Obama tax cuts with a $500 check and even I do not want the tax cut if it means giving one more dime to you or the multi-rich friends you have decided to sell us out for.
You should be ashamed of yourself.
I stand in awe of independent Bernie Sanders for actually saying everything that needed to be said on the house floor for eight and a half hours. He is my new hero. Clinton has already proved that trickle down economics doesn't work and the republican rhetoric is wrong when they say that raising taxes during a recession and two wars is not bad policy. It is terrible policy and it's only getting worse.
The truth is Americans are glad to give more if they know the money is going to a good cause. Saving our economy by paying extra taxes is more than acceptable, it is necessary and many millionaires have come forward saying just that. They do not want to be a part of your looting operation that is taking America apart from false economic hysteria. The endless wars planned for the poor to fight to assure our own self destruction are not only unnecessary, but are being used to remove what little bit of rights we have left and should be stopped now. America needs to stop fighting each other and instead hold hands and rise up together right now.
You have been assuring loopholes that are open for all corrupt looters to misuse and abuse this country. The people need to make our representatives stop this nonsense now.
I am only one voice of many more who are tired of your games. I can see the future you have in store for us will obviously be one without Social Security, Medicare or Medicaid benefits, as these are services that help the poor in this country, all while foreclosures and unemployment continue to rise. You may claim our freedom must be given up in order to protect us from terrorists that hate our freedom, but I, for one, will go down screaming the words of Patrick Henry...”give me liberty or give me death.”

Boost Mobile : Reliable and Affordable
This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Boost Mobile. All opinions are 100% mine.
Boost Mobile is the perfect choice for people on a fixed income. This service is the first one I have used that did not exceed the monthly charge they promoted with unlimited calls. Most cell phone services end up charging some kind of hidden or additional fees that you are not expecting. Boost Mobile offers the service of Verizon without doubling the bill or making you sign a contract. Boost Mobile offers a reliable service without the additional fees and it offers a relationship without requiring lengthy commitments from subscribers. For $50.00 a month, you really can make unlimited calls, just like they promised. It is easy to love your phone. You do not need to give up any services or announce when your leaving. Kind of gives a new meaning to a promise ring, doesn't it?
Boost Mobile allows you to pay online, by phone or in person. You can make a single payment with a debit/credit card each month or set up hassle-free automatic withdrawals from your bank account. You can also register the information to make future payments quick and simple. Finding a retailer is easy. Just visit Re-Boost and put in your zip-code to find the one nearest to you.
Boost Mobile uses two of the largest, all-digital wireless networks reaching nearly 500 million people combined in the United States. The Nationwide Sprint and Nextel National Networks are available in nearly 18,000 cities. This makes it extremely easy to find a retailer near you.
Boost Mobile provides easy access service for Pay As You Go as well as Monthly Unlimited customers. Best of all there are no roaming fees, no overage charges, and no contracts necessary for anyone.
All of Boost Mobile plans come with unlimited talk, text, web, 411, IM, email, multi-media messaging
