America Stand Up to These Rich Hypocritical Senators

Dear Senator,

I cannot believe the hypocritical rhetoric that has been coming from the Republican senators and their party since Obama won the presidency. They say they care about the deficit, and then demand that the top two percent of Americans, mostly elite billionaires, continue to get huge tax breaks that none of them need and some of them do not want. It seems to me senators really just want these tax cuts for themselves. Rich republicans are trying to fool the public into believing they are a party that cares about small businesses, but it has become painfully clear now that they don't. If any republicans really cared about small businesses they would have voted for the Small Business Jobs and Credit Act of 2010 in September,

However, none of them did.

Republicans have shown where their loyalties lie, and that it is not with the poor people in this country. Actually, it is not even with the middle class like it used to be. The morals they once stood for have been sold to the highest bidder at bargain prices and then policies that serve the rich are becoming legislation. I cannot believe the injustice that is taking place in the senate. I mean, 9/11 first responders healthcare came up for a vote and failed. What does that say about where our country is headed? I am a struggling student that would actually benefit from the Obama tax cuts with a $500 check and even I do not want the tax cut if it means giving one more dime to you or the multi-rich friends you have decided to sell us out for.

You should be ashamed of yourself.

I stand in awe of independent Bernie Sanders for actually saying everything that needed to be said on the house floor for eight and a half hours. He is my new hero. Clinton has already proved that trickle down economics doesn't work and the republican rhetoric is wrong when they say that raising taxes during a recession and two wars is not bad policy. It is terrible policy and it's only getting worse.

The truth is Americans are glad to give more if they know the money is going to a good cause. Saving our economy by paying extra taxes is more than acceptable, it is necessary and many millionaires have come forward saying just that. They do not want to be a part of your looting operation that is taking America apart from false economic hysteria. The endless wars planned for the poor to fight to assure our own self destruction are not only unnecessary, but are being used to remove what little bit of rights we have left and should be stopped now. America needs to stop fighting each other and instead hold hands and rise up together right now.

You have been assuring loopholes that are open for all corrupt looters to misuse and abuse this country. The people need to make our representatives stop this nonsense now.

I am only one voice of many more who are tired of your games. I can see the future you have in store for us will obviously be one without Social Security, Medicare or Medicaid benefits, as these are services that help the poor in this country, all while foreclosures and unemployment continue to rise. You may claim our freedom must be given up in order to protect us from terrorists that hate our freedom, but I, for one, will go down screaming the words of Patrick Henry...”give me liberty or give me death.”
